Trophy Bass Fishing

Murphy Lakes was born in 1905 approximately, when coal mining dug 6 of the 8 strip pits. These greater than 100 year old pits have produced Bass consistently, between 3 and 12.5 lbs. 3,000 evergreen trees have been submerged to aid the Crappie production. 31 feet more or less deep pits keep the fish alive through winter. The fisherman that have come for 5 generations will not advertise their honey hole. There are great days and bad days but the possibilities are amazing.
